MONDAY 7/7
Game 1: Chairman 79 | PSP All-Stars 65
The Chairman jumped out early and stayed out in front to get off to a (1-0) for the first time in Pro City summer league. The Chairman got great play from Ivan McFarlin 26 points and Trent Strickland 18 points to give the Chairman a 1-2 punch they needed with J.R. Smith not being available. PSP All-Stars (0-1) struggled to get it going in this ballgame as Tack Minor led his club with 22 points followed by Mo Carter with 21. PSP All-Stars were looking to get off on the good foot but failed to do so.
Game 2: Fonde 70 | Frank 69
This ball game played out all the way to the final buzzer as Fonde All Stars held on with a miss by Eddie Barlow (Team Frank) missed as the horn sounded. This was a very close and physical ball game the way both teams like to play, with Fonde (1-0) pulled it off led by Myron "The Show " Allen 20 points and Charles Gaines with 15 points to lead the team to victory. Team Frank (0-1) lost a heartbreaker in a game they felt they should have pulled off were led by Eddie Barlow and Jr. Elonu with 16 points each.
Game 3: Hustlers 85 | SCION TC'S 81
Exciting ballgame from start to finish and end to end action. Hustlers ( 1-1 ) came out smoking with Cavlin Watson 28 points ( 17 1st half) to jump start his club and Luther Head 20 points ( 16 2nd half ) points to keep there club from losing there intensity. Scion TC'S ( 1-1 ) fell a little short in this game, one they felt they should have pulled off with T.J.Ford leading the way with 25 points and Damon Stoudamire with 21 in a losing cause.
WEDNESDAY 7/9
GAME 1: Sirmon Solutons 100 | Hustlers 60
Sirmon Solution opened up there season with a huge victory over the Hustlers before a crowd that was filling up the stands to see there victory. Micheal Harris led Sirmon Solution (1-0) with 28 points followed by Carlos Hurt with 20 to led them on an 8 game regular season winning streak dating back to last season. The Hustlers were led by Sir Calvin with 20 points to pace the Hustlers (0-1) to open there season. Sirmon Solution Coach Casey Williams states they want to get off to a good start to position themselves for the playoffs.
GAME 2: Scion TC'S 96 | Team Black 90
In the nightcap the Scion TC'S took a half before they hit all cylinders to pull this one out despite a big first half by Frank Benson (34 1st half points) of Team Black as it was nip and tuck the first half. T.J. Ford came out the second half and carried his team to victory before a packed housed to watch his team perform and led SCION (1-0)with 40 points. SCION had a balanced attack with Milon Clark 18, Damon Stoudamire 16, Terrance Morris 13 and Andre Valentine with 11. Frank Benson led Team Black (0-1) with 44 points followed by Stephen Jackson with 16. Assistant Coach Fletcher Galloway stated we had to devise a plan to slow Benson down in the second half to pull this one out, Benson had 10 points the second half.

Men and Women, children of all ages, it is that time again for the Nike Houston Pro City Summer League to get under way. You do not want to miss any of the action this year. The action is exciting, the dunks are crazy, the jumpers are sweet, and the ball handling is amazing. We are talking about the best summer basketball in the world. The season tips off on July 7 at 6:30 PM. The games are played on the legendary court “Moses Malone Court”, at the Fonde Community Center. Fonde is located at 110 Sabine Street. We will have the DJ rocking the music, the commentator giving you the play-by-play, and giveaways for the fans. If you have not been to a game at the Nike Pro City Houston Summer League before, then you have been missing a treat. If you have been, then you know it is going to be another great summer of basketball. Don’t forget, admission to the gym is absolutely free. That’s right free!!!!!!!!!! So, come out and enjoy the Nike Pro City Houston Summer League this summer.
